 I'm trying not to miss my youth with my biological father.  I have to be grateful for the time we (John and I) spent with Papa, Mama Claire, Justin, Kellee, Kiana and Jason.  We WILL return again next July.  I'm almost positive.

I just landed a free-lance writing gig with Kearny Life magazine, which is a lifestyle magazine involving everything Kearny, New Jersey.  I am doing my first story on Maxi's Fashions, a formal dress shop right here in town that covers weddings, proms, Sweet Sixteens, Quinces, the works.  

Maxi, the owner, is super sweet. As an angle, I will be writing how Maxi makes dreams come true.  I never had a Quince with Papa, so Jack, my editor will be photographing me in a lavender formal Quince gown!  The angle is that it took me 55 years for my dreams to come true in meeting Papa.  Now, Papa will have pictures of me as a Quince I never was!!! Better late than never.  Dreams come true for all ages! Time has nothing on tiaras!

Well, I better get transcribing what I audio recorded.

 Happy December! There is much to unpack here as there have been some new developments in my life this past November.  Let's just say that  I will have so much more to add to I Dream of Purple Skies , my book of memoirs and poetry.  It's going to be a book that is so much more than living and coping with mental illness and how I observe our fallen world through a mentally ill lens.  It's going to be a book about recovery, redemption and coming full circle.  It's going to be a book about intrigue and healing as I have begun slowly uncovering the lies I was told growing up about mental illness and distorted images I was given about my life. This book is going to be mostly about learning to love unconditionally and learning how to forgive human foibles in order to walk into a better, brighter and healthier future no matter what your age.  Hey there! Wow, this month has been a whirlwind of my former friends depression and fear!  I couldn't log anymore entries this month because I was severely depressed.  Then I realized the root of my depression.  I came to believe that it was the constant streaming of different channels.  I was becoming addicted to them hoping to distract myself from my moods.   While I think streaming is convenient and awesome, I was abusing it to lift my moods. The time I could have spent writing my book or blogging I instead spent on entertaining fears and depression.   I'm holding off on my book and Web site in lieu of getting-out-of-my comfort zone activities, like getting out of bed during the day to pray for God's will in my life.   When I hear His answers, I will resume less important activities.  Hey there! Sorry I haven't been around lately.  I  was kinda going through a depressive phase.  Sleeping a lot.  Only concerned about hygiene when I had to go to work. I don't know really what triggered it.  Been feeling exhausted lately.  But since then I've been on the proper dosage of medicine.  It took a minute, but I got there.   Now I'm bathing and even applying makeup just because. It had much to do with God's guidance, getting involved in volunteer projects at church and much praying to God to help me get out of bed. I'm not getting involved in my husband's business or all up into the cracks of what is not mine.  My last depressive phase lasted about 2 months.  Ugh. I lost my appetite and dropped weight, I didn't think I would look good in makeup anymore .
